Membership Fees:

Fellow Member
A fellow member is a PA as defined by Texas law, a fellow member of AAPA, and a Texas resident. The fellow member has full voting privileges and is eligible to hold TAPA office.
$165 per year

Associate Member
An associate member is a PA who is employed in Texas, but is not a member of AAPA. Associate members, shall have the privilege of the floor, to hold office, except as delegates or alternates to the AAPA House of Delegates, and to vote, except in issues related to AAPA.
$165 per year

Affiliate Member
An affiliate member must be approved by the board of directors, or its designee from allied health professions, or organizations that employ PAs and wish to associate with TAPA. An affiliate member is not entitled to vote, hold office, or chair a committee.
$128 per year

Sustaining Member
A sustaining member is a PA who is no longer functioning as a PA or is not employed in Texas. A sustaining is not entitled to vote, hold office, or chair a committee.
$128 per year

PA/Physician Team - Supervising Physician Member
A supervising physician member is a U.S. licensed physician who wishes to associate with TAPA. Fellow/Associate members of TAPA can add $25 to their membership fee and sign their supervising physician up. A physician member is not entitled to vote, hold office, or chair a committee.

Military Member
A Military member is a PA who is in active Military, providing they are current members of their respective military PA society. This new benefit will also permit Reserve and Guard PAs who have been called for active duty for more than 180 days to join or maintain their TAPA membership for $25. A military member is not entitled to vote, hold office, or chair a committee.

Student Member
A student member is enrolled in a CAHEA, CAAHEP, or successor agency accredited PA program, or an unaccredited program approved by AAPA. Each PA program in Texas is eligible to elect a student representative to the TAPA Board, who has full voting privileges pertaining to TAPA issues. Otherwise, a student member is not entitled to vote, hold office, or chair a committee.
$25 for 2 years (or until graduation)
*Texas law defines a PA as a graduate of CAHEA/CAAHEP or its subsequent agencies approved physician assistant program and/or NCCPA certified.
